With the first term of school well underway, local families are being reminded about the free online tutoring service offered by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River libraries.

Titled YourTutor, the service enables students with a library membership to log in over any internet connection between 3pm and 10pm on weeknights and speak to subject matter experts about their homework and assignments.

The service suits students from Year 4 to Year 12 and covers a range of topics including maths, English, science, assignment research and study skills.

Shire of Augusta Margaret River Library Services Manager Heather Auld said the service had been offered by the library for several years and was popular among those who used it.

“Parents aren’t always in a position to be able to assist children every night or in regards to every topic,” she said.

“Having an on-demand, online service ensures quality education is affordable and accessible for everyone.”

Anyone interested in learning more about YourTutor is invited to drop into the Margaret River Regional Library on Fearn Ave, Margaret River or contact the library on 9780 5600 or at amrlibrary@amrshire.wa.gov.au.

Students who wish to access the service and already have a valid library card can click on the YourTutor link at amrlibraries.com and log in with their member number.
